Who we are

What data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Contact details you give us through our website form, such as your name and email address.

Booking and account data when you reserve a class through our booking system, such as your name, email address, phone number, the classes and passes you book, your attendance, and any notes you choose to share with us.

Payment data when you buy a class, pass, or membership. Payments are handled by our booking and payment providers. We receive confirmation that a payment was made, but we do not store your full card details on our own systems.

Technical data that our website and booking system collect automatically, such as IP address, device and browser type, and usage information, for security and to help our services work properly.

Why we use your data and on what basis

We use your data to:

• Provide the classes, passes, and memberships you book, and manage your account and attendance.

• Process your payments.

• Send you practical information about your bookings, such as confirmations, reminders, and schedule changes.

• Send you news, offers, and studio updates, where you have asked to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.

• Keep our website and booking system secure and improve our services.

• Meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent for marketing emails, on the performance of our agreement with you for bookings and payments, and on our legitimate interest in running and securing the studio for the rest.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the studio, and only as far as they need it to provide their service to us.

Eversports GmbH (Vienna, Austria), our class booking and scheduling platform. It processes your booking and account data on our behalf and sends you the emails relating to your bookings, and studio news where you have opted in.

Stripe, our payment provider through Eversports, which processes your payment securely when you buy through the booking system. We do not store your full card details. Stripe is provided in Europe by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland), and its privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

Hostinger, which hosts our website and our email address hello@joymovementstudio.ch, and provides basic website analytics.

Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland, including within the European Union, for example Eversports in Austria. Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place so that your data stays protected.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data only as long as we need it:

Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

Booking, account, and payment records: for as long as you are a customer and afterwards for the period required by Swiss law, in particular accounting rules.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to certain uses, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@joymovementstudio.ch.

Cookies

Our website and booking system use cookies and similar technologies to make the services work, to remember your preferences, and, where you allow it, to understand how the site is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
